really wanted to like this but when I started putting one shelf on top of the other I kept finding chips and scratches in the wood but that wasn't wood at all. That was sawdust covered in decorative laminate. The only bamboo is the wooden frame and legs. One of the shelves was cut unevenly so when the manufacturer tightened the brackets it wasn't straight like the other shelves and had a dent in the middle. Not to mention I only assembled three shelves and tested them with three pairs of shoes. Unless you have very small feet it won't even hold four pairs of shoes like they advertise. The height between the shelves is way too short at only 5.75 inches and a women's size 9 heel won't fit in. Returning for a refund and looking for something else sturdier.

So far it seems sturdy and functional as well as looking great. The rack is 27" long by 11" wide and fits perfectly next to my back door, near the side of the fridge. Even when fully loaded with stuff (2 pairs of heavy-duty rain boots, surf shoes, slip-ons, flip-flops, and heavy-duty garden clogs) it moves easily for easy vacuuming. I also bought 2 small 3-tier racks to replace the 4-tier wire rack that was sagging, unstable, and took up too much space. Again, very happy with it so far.

This is exactly what I needed, a stack of shoes that can be stored outside the back door. There is also room underneath to store some shoes.
